This hat is my souvenir--knit from a special pattern with yarn I bought during Spring Fling. We are about to hit the time when the knits get packed away, but my needles will keep on clacking away!
(The top picture shows our awesome stitch marker--and the bottom picture a small boy crashed my photo session!)

Lincoln Quotes: Mother-Son Date Knight at Chick-fil-A
We had a blast having a date "knight" at our local Chick-fil-A, and here were Lincoln's top lines:
1. "I like the knight cow the best because he was inviting everyone in!"
2. "This is so exciting! I never had dessert here before!"
3. Balloon Artist: "What would you like?" Lincoln: (jumping out of seat) "A yellow bow and a green arrow!" Also, getting "my bow and arrow" was the best part of his night!

Loopy Ewe Spring Fling: Finale & Finished Objects
I am already missing the fabulous, relaxing, new friend filled, inspirational, fun, productive, and educational Spring Fling!
I am delighted that I finished three objects there: a hat from my fair isle class, a giraffe from my build-a-toy class, and a honeycomb cowl I knit at the great knitting lounge!

Loopy Ewe Spring Fling: Day Three
First, I finished my hat from Susan B. Anderson's marvelous fair isle hat class, then I went to her build-a-toy class and made a giraffe for Lincoln!

Baby Animal Days!
A quick respite from my loopy fling: dad took Lincoln to our local and traditional spring festival: Baby Animal Days!
Loopy Ewe Spring Fling Day Two: Shopping & Learning
I signed the giant sock blocker, traveled to a yarn store in a limo, and learned a ton of new techniques!

The Ruffle That Finally Ended
I finally finished the last shawl of the four in Martina Behm's Hitchhiker Collection. The ruffle may have taken a very long time, but in the gorgeous Creatively Dyed yarn I bought at Estes last year, I didn't mind!
I love Martina's patterns because they are so wearable.
The first pictures are of my new Lintilla, and then I followed with shots from the whole collection: the two Hitchhikers, the Trillian, and the Magrethea. Technically, I still need a Magrethea, and if Sarah had a Lintilla and a Trillian she would have the whole set. Hmmm.

Ten Months
It has been a tough few months, trying to work through loneliness, anger, and grief. I am trying to get to joy--to this Psalm.
When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion,
we were like those who dreamed.
Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The Lord has done great things for them.”
The Lord has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, Lord,
like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves with them.
--Psalm 126, NIV
